Beginning a Bible study...
As
Christians we are certainly suppose to tell others about the Lord, but teaching
the Bible is something else. However, if you are called to such a
ministry, I pray this website can be a help to you. Here are some pointers
that will make having a Bible study with coworkers a real possibility.
1.
Your Private Fellowship with the Lord
-
Maintain close personal fellowship with
the Lord Jesus Christ through prayer and Bible reading.
-
Pray for your coworkers individually.
-
Pray that the Lord would open an
opportunity to minister.
-
Be diligent to study the words of God (2
Timothy 2:15) so you
will be prepared to teach it.
2.
Your Public Testimony Among Coworkers
-
Be bold and quick to let your coworkers
know that your life is the Lord's. It's easier to begin right than dig
yourself out of a hole. A very good
way to do this is carry your Bible and read it instead of watching T.V.
-
As you pray for others let them know you
are praying for them. This will help you to genuinely care about the people
God has put around you.
3.
Your Attitude Toward What You Can't Control
-
This is God's work and it will be done in
His time. Be patient.
-
Ministry is about people. Genuinely care
for them. They don't care how much you know until they know how much you
care.
-
Be ready for the Lord to put people in
your path that need this type of ministry.
