BIBLICAL ALLUSIONS TO
OIL
#1. The process by which crude oil is produced according
to science has been based on the theories of evolution and the
idea that the earth is millions of years old. The Bible
dates the earth only to 6,000 years so the process that science
has come up with, basically the decomposition of carbon
deposits, is wrong. The process of creating crude oil is
much quicker and easier. Whether it be light, sweet, sour,
dark, green or any other description of crude, oil is formed at
the mantle-crust interface a few miles below the surface of the
earth by the condensation of heavy hydrocarbons. (See the
article "Sustainable oil?" to the left and these scientific
articles for more details:

Genesis of Hydrocarbons and

Generation of Methane in the Earth's Mantle. The Wall
Street Journal also had an article about this:

Meaning.)
#2. Oil is in abundance in the earth up until the Second
Coming of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Isaiah 34:9-10 And the streams thereof shall be
turned into pitch, and the dust thereof into brimstone, and the
land thereof shall become burning pitch. It shall not be
quenched night nor day; the smoke thereof shall go up for ever:
from generation to generation it shall lie waste; none shall
pass through it for ever and ever.
#3. Oil is a resource that will be unaffected economically when
commodities are being affected by famine. Revelation
6:5-6 5 And when he had opened the third seal, I heard the third
beast say, Come and see. And I beheld, and lo a black horse; and
he that sat on him had a pair of balances in his hand. And I heard a voice in the midst
of the four beasts say, A measure of wheat for a penny, and
three measures of barley for a penny; and see thou hurt not
the oil and the wine. You may ask, "Is that
talking about crude or olive oil?" Oil is oil whether a
biodiesel from corn or a mineral based crude. Oil is oil
and it burns. |
